Could I ask of you a prayer
« on: January 17, 2010, 09:34:36 AM »

for a friend I just lost? I always called him "Alu." He was one of my closest friends for the past 3 or so years and helped me through a very dark time in my life; his support more or less saved me from myself. We hadn't talked in awhile (he moved away) and today I learned that he had abruptly passed away in his sleep. He was only 22. One of the last times we talked he joked that maybe his purpose in life was to save me from myself. So I'm feeling a little guilty now that the Lord has called him home after he achieved just that.

The next time you see one of your loved ones give him or her a hug on the spot. We really shouldn't take anyone or anything for granted; life's just too capricious. So cherish what you have…

Sorry for the downer

oh, and don't worry: the little stuffed rabbit in my signature won't be crying forever. Alu would get me at me if I left it sad like that  :D

Yea, though I walk through the garden in the shadows of pests,
I will fear no squirrel: For thou art with me;
thy scope and thy trigger, they comfort me.

Prayer sent! Life is too short to worry about what we don't have. I always and make sure that I not only say but show the importance of the ones with me.

Prayers sent and I believe he was called to heaven to continue helping others as he helped you. There's no reason for guilt just the empty spot inside that a friend filled, he's still there and always will be. :) Ed
