RUSH: We mentioned this to you yesterday and I want to run it by you again because this has a bearing on whether or not Republicans go up to Washington, the White House, on February 25th on join this so-called televised confab on health care. "Pelosi aide says health care summit a fraud, Democrats already decided on ramming bill through. ... Nancy Pelosi’s top health care aide Wendell Primus admitted top Democrats have already decided on the strategy to pass the Senate's pro-abortion, government-run health care bill. In fact he says Obama's latest 'friendly gestures' is all a trick. ... The bi-partisan heath-care summit is simply a charade says Primas." Pelosi's top health care aide is out letting the cat out of the bag.
According to LifeNews: "Primus explained that the Senate will use the controversial reconciliation strategy that will have the House approve the Senate bill and both the House and Senate okaying changes to the bill that the Senate will sign off on by preventing Republicans from filibustering. 'The trick in all of this is that the president would have to sign the Senate bill first, then the reconciliation bill second, and the reconciliation bill would trump the Senate bill,' Primus said at the National Health Policy Conference hosted by Academy Health and Health Affairs. Some have questioned whether rules would allow Congress to pass changes to a bill that is not yet law. House members have insisted both chambers approve the changes, which likely will go through the reconciliation process to require 51 votes rather than the 60-vote supermajority in the Senate, before they pass they Senate bill. Primus also mentioned bill drafters would need to use certain language to ensure the plan works, although he did not elaborate. 'There's a certain skill, there's a trick, but I think we'll get it done,' he said."
So they're making changes to a law that's not even there yet. So the Democrats, once again, are governing against the will of the people, using trickery to do so, admitting it. Republicans, you're just a sideshow if you go up to this thing. I wonder if they know this. I wonder if the Republicans know that this has been said.
