13:00. I imagine that's local Vancouver time.

Men's Biathlon on Sunday. Full schedule at the link above.

I watched a bunch of online footage from the 2008 Summer Olympics indoor shooting events; it was very informative for improving my stance.

I haven't watched 20 seconds of any Olympics since they decided figure skating was the no. 1 "sport", ....

Well, it wouldn't have been much more of a commitment  than that to watch all of the women's biathlon competition.  In total, they had about the same time coverage as one of the 5,000 meter speed skating heats.  And even then, all the commentators could seem to say is "oh, a miss!".  It would seem to me that there are probably many more Americans who shoot than who speed skate.  You would think NBC would give a bit more coverage to the shooting competitions.  And maybe even throw in a back ground spot on some of the biathlon rifles and some mention of the skill required to cross country ski until you're breathing hard and your heart is pounding, then switch to a target shooting competition -- twice.  Pretty boring stuff, I suppose, compared to watching two hours of speed skating.

TCups, - we are talking about NBC & shooting here, about a good a mix as "oil & water". - I'm almost surprised they even acknowledged it existed.

Ok, only video I can find so far is this:

http://www.vancouver2010.com/olympic-biathlon/videos/biathlon_116202g126504-tx.html

And, it won't play thru past the first 25 seconds for me, so I have no idea if there's actual event coverage, or if it's just a promo. I'll have to try back later.

Anyway, I did see results posted for the Women's 7.5km sprint:

1. Anastaszia Kuzmina, Sovakia
2. Magdalena Neuner, Germany
3. Marie Dorin, France.

Rats, I missed the men's sprint today, but I have the TiVo set up to record Tuesday's coverage.
