Ooooo! Oooooo! CFX Royal in .177!!!
« on: February 26, 2010, 07:32:43 AM »

Don't know if anyone's noticed but, while checking to see if PA still lists the Royal in .22 for $199, I see they currently have the Royal in .177 for only $189. That's $20 cheaper than the synthetic stocked models elsewhere. Sent them a question about the triggers to see if they are metal or plastic. This just in from PA: "The Royal is the only one that does not currently have a plastic trigger. At the moment. "

(How many old timers understand the picture reference?)

Hey, you even remembered the names! I'll have to send you a free prize. A container of PBA's. (Second prize, no container of PBA's.)  :D

Think I would rather have an empty container of PBA's. I could use it out at25 yards for target practice.

As I mentioned over on the DWC, that's with the Gamo scope, sort of bottom of the line. PA, with discount and looks like free ground, is $171 for the Royal. If you look at the other site, notice the .177's are higher priced. Wonder if they are new inventory while the .22's are old? New=crappy trigger. If the stock Royal .177's shoot as nicely as the lube tuned .22 I bought from Gene, they are nice guns. And Gamo does not offer the Royal stock, either.

The synthetic stock CFX .22 at Airgun Depot has shipped with a metal trigger for two forum people. I't appears that they are selling off their old inventory (the metal trigger guns for 169.99). I believe that sale will be the last of their metal trigger CFX rifles. Folks that want one should consider getting one while supplies last.
