New Gamo rifles showing up

I see Cabelas has the new Gamo Viper listed  and the order button works.

Late June early July,  like they said, wonder what is the next model will be to show up.

Well I did just that, I am reciving a new Nitro 17 friday 28th, it's one of the new rifles that's 1050 fps with PBA ammo, 800 with lead, besides it has a neet looking stock.

I wanted to see the difference between this and the other higher powered rifles.

I know that the only difference beetween a 1000x / 800x Winchester is the top hat, the 1000 has one and the 800 does not, I have both, and upgraded the 800 to a 1000 by making a top hat, and they now crony the same.

I ordered it from Cabela's and they show it with a 3X9X40 scope, but Gamo shows it with a 4X32 scope, this might get interesting with Cabelas if it comes with a 4X32 scope.
WhenI I ordered it I have a bunch of paper work that goes along with buying one from them, I live in Michigan and it's a pain in the butt with paper work involved to buy a rifle online.
Michigan considers it a Firearm and you have to prove who you are and have a trigger lock statement also, it has to be shipped with a lock installed from the dealer. Now I can go to wally world and just buy any rifle with out any problems or even any I.D. , but shipping them from out side of Michigan is when problems arise.

Wally World's around here only have Daisy, Winchesters, and Crossman's, no Gamo's, it sucks they don't stock Gamo's. There is a Cabelas in Detriot but that's 4 hours away from me and with the price of gas no way, cheaper to have them shipped.

Will let ya know when it  arives and what it looks like with the polymer-jacketed, fluted bull barrel or what ever it comes with.

Way to go Peter, I saw that model and was wondering if it was similar to a S1K. I like the style.

have the dimensions of the top hat you made??  Also, what did you make it out of. I have a Brazilian Winnie 800 that has had nothing done to it but a lube tune but thought about putting in a spring of some kind and turning a hat and pushing it a little.

Sure do,,  I have the 1000X apart right now, I am putting a .20 caliber barrel in it. I'll mike up the specs. and send them to ya.

The one I made for the 800X was just cold rolled steel, but with a stub  for a roller thrust bearing.

Here is the top hat and the specs. was going to just send them to you but somebody else might want them.

Also is a shot of the modified top hat with the thrust bearings I use.

I thought it would be thinking back although I would of thought that pushing the spring almost an inch would have been a little much. I would have guessed about .750 or so  without measuring just how much it could take.
