Not really that bad Dave. With the muzzle brake it makes it pretty handy. I am kinda picky when it comes to how hard a rifle cocks and I would not own it if it was a bear to cock.

It is tuned so the cocking is fluid and smooth. The muzzle brake makes for a good handle. I have had Hawks scopes on my RWS air guns and never had a failure yet... Knock on wood!....:)

Very very nice! I swear by my 34, of course, it's the only air rifle I own (And boy am I glad I made the choice I did). Is the barrel on the 34P shorter than on the standard 34? It looks it, and I'm assuming that's what the whole "compact" thing means.
