New personal best by 1.

I'm going to make a big sign that says "SLOW DOWN" to hang above the target box. I made a point of looking down, dropping/relaxing my arms, and taking a deep breath after loading each pellet.... except one...

I've got some quiet time tonight so I'm hoping to get at least one more match posted tonight.

Weapon:   IZH 46M
Pellet:   Gamo Match Wad .177
Dist/Pos:   10m / Standing / 1 Hand
Score   85

Lots of wind the last couple of days.  Rifle scores took a biiiiggggg hit and it ain't the wind's fault.  I need to get that book "The Way of the Rifle".  I need help in a big way.

The Izzy is slowly losing inches as well as weight, still whittling on the grips.  After the last surgery thereon, managed a 94 2X with irons.  Couldn't really tell if the 6th 9 was a good candidate for a cheap 10 - this is after I started reinforcing the target stock with another layer on the back.  It seems that the secret is in the velocity.  The R1 makes the neatest l'il round holes no matter if Eidelmann, Denver Tgt (plain) or reinforced.  I guess when I get a good group going I need to change out tgts after 5 shots......

This with the 46M, H&N's, irons, offhand, 33', std ISSF 10m tgt.

Where ya been of late Mag?  Hope nothing untoward is occurring up your way.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery.  Hit the target!  All else is twaddle.

\"Speed is fine but accuracy is final.\"  Wyatt Earp, 1888.
