A NEW Titan problem
« on: March 08, 2010, 01:41:32 PM »
I've decided to just leave the scope off of the Titan until some new mounts arrive.  I'm going to follow your suggestions and go ahead and drill a hole for a scope stop.  However I was shooting it and today the FRONT SIGHT came loose!

I can't tighten or loosen the screw to either take it off or put it on.  Any suggestions?  On my Air Hawk I think I slipped it forward as far as I could and put super glue on it :D

The metal is really flimsy.  The screwdriver is buggering it up.

If  you can't find a screw driver to fit it properly then I'm not sure what to try next, but I'm sure someone will chime in and help ya out..

I may have to drill out the screw if this doesn't work.  I should probably just wait, get the new mounts, drill the stop, and try it out.  My goal was to shoot it a lot and try and tame it.

It almost sounds like it is over traveling when it shoots as it makes a loud smack when it goes forward.  I may have to just suck it up and send it off to an expert if I really want to ever shoot it.

Between this gun and shooting those heavy duty powder burners yesterday my right AND left arm are toast! I'm looking for the Ben Gay!

The TF 99's arrival is soon!  I'm going to leave it alone!

I shot my Titan a little over 120 times Saturday while my friend shot my .22lr rifle.  Then we switched rifles.  My left bicep is still abit sore Monday  heh heh.  My friend and I were getting 1 1/2" to 2" groups at 50 yards.  I`m happy with that.  And it was the first time my friend used my Titan.

Ya Stan those Titans in a .177 do have a bit of recoil :) I wilsh I could still find one new. I would change out the spring and shorten the barrel a bit. The one I had was extremely accurat a 30 and 40 yards.

Well I've given up on it, not only has the front sight gotten loose but the rear one as well!  No real reason to shoot it until the mounts arrive and I drill a hole in the tube for the stop.

I was shocked today when my TF 99 arrived and the Titan was a heavier rifle in weight!

This one may have to be sent to one of you pros to work on.  It has so many problems!
