Center Point scope on powder burner
« on: March 19, 2010, 04:12:09 AM »
Hey guys,

I am curious what your $0.02 is on putting a CP 4-12x40 AO on a powder burner, 7mm remington magnum.  think it would hold up to the recoil?  or would i be better off going to a better scope?  the reason is, i love the CP on my gamo, and wanted another one.
Gamo Big Cat 1200 .177  only shoot 2 pellets, PREDATOR POLYMAGS and CPHPS

Talk about timing.   Going to put that very same scope on a .270 Savage.   Mainly want the ability to use the high lighted red cross-hairs at night.   Using for  coyotes at night.
I believe it will hold up.   Buy it at Walmart.   If it fails in a short  length of time.... take it back.   Or fails  after an extended length of time...send back the Crosman.
But for the price.....just buy another and start over.   I have looked the scope over and it seems fairly well made.  Actually have one  that I am using on an AG right now.
