My wife recently dropped an old pair of binoculars her father had won on a tip-board at a local pub back in the mid-sixties. They were not much; kind of clunky and the optics were a bit fuzzy. I was actually happy the drop shattered the glass into pieces (I didn't let her know that though)

Now I get to buy me some new bino's. Yay!!!
I spent about two weeks googling on the net, reading product reviews, and getting frustrated with information overload. I finally decided to give Roger Daley a call at Airgun Recon. He recommended the Hawke bino's. I knew Hawke made great rifle scopes but never considered them making other optic products. "Gee Mr Obvious, I never made the connection" (Anyone familiar with this reference is addicted to a juvenile am radio program) :emoticon:
I've had the bino's for a week now and they are everything that Roger said they were; very bright and crisp, light weight, rugged (can withstand a wife drop), and the close view feature is 6'. WOW!!! I Luv 'em---
I spent last weekend watching sandhill cranes flying north. I could hear them everywhere but couldn't figure out where they were; ran in and got the Hawke's and located birds by the hundreds riding thermals in circles climbing higher and higher before continuing the northward trek.
Thanks, Roger --- for making aigunning a more enjoyable experience and doing business the old fashioned way. Great products/Great prices/Great customer service
