25 yard best I could do.
« on: March 23, 2010, 11:12:08 AM »
Went to the swamp to see what I could do this weekend and after warming up on paint balls the best I could get was matches at 25yards. I had to clear out all the pine needles, leaves and grass so that I could get a good shooting lane at them then put a beer can behind them to help make them stand out. I was shooting from my trusty lawn chair and took my fishing pole holder with the sock full of rice on top down there to shoot off of. Worked pretty good. I was shooting my Gamo Hunter .177 cal with nitro piston Grt Trigger and leapers Tactedge scope. It was takeing about 3-4 shots to get a good hit. I would nick them or be grouping right next to them. And like the card,  you had to look at it them through the scope then put the cross hairs on it and pull the trigger with the target covered.   I backed up to 30 and no dice just could not see them to hit them.  I will take the cards down there next time I get a chance. I gotta get my 350 mag sighted in and my Daughters big cat for 25 yards.

Enjoy your shooting all!

Great shooting  :)

I"ve never tried shooting matches but I may have to give it a try one of these days  just for fun...

DJ, that's excellent shooting at 25 yards. I like paintballs on a golf tee, kinda messy but I like the explosive effect it has. Plus 2 hours of cleanup afterwards .....LOL LOL......Bill
