Has anybody tried.....?
« on: April 01, 2010, 06:22:00 AM »
I was wondering if anyone has tried the Macarri  Hornet MK5-R9 kit in a B-26?     I saw somewhere a fellow had used some R-9 parts when he put his B-26 back together after a tuning.   He thought it made an improvement to the B-26. ( using the R-9 parts).  Main improvement for him was that he used the R-9 spring guides as they are heavier built.

Anyway, has anyone tried it?

inter change may depend on B-26 tube size, there are two and the small one may not work to well as JM had to quit making springs due to this problem....wouldn't fit into the smaller piston....

We have a tuner here in the UK, and he has to supply the 26 kits with two sizes of rear guide and piston seal. All other parts, (spring and top hat), are the same. Luckily, for those without measuring instruments, we have discovered that our British 2 pence coin fits into a 26mm tube, but not a 25mm. Easy way of testing. :emoticon:  :emoticon:  :emoticon:  HW95/R9 kit will fit a 26mm, only piston seal is different. :emoticon:
