Noise testing on my 350 Hunter and Big Cat results.

Well a friend of mine came over Saturday and while shooting the pellet rifles we decided to do some noise testing. While shooting from my favorite perch in the computer room we shot the 350, Hunter and Big Cat. The result were pretty cool. The targets were set out at 35 yards out behind the boat garage. It was about 2330 so was very quiet and cool outside. I went and stood behind the boat garage which is about 10 yards from the impact zone. I was not in the line of fire and protected by the garage. As he shot the only thing you could hear was a whistling zip then impact on the target. The impact was loud but the rest was quiet. because we were shooting from inside with only 1 window open about 15 inches it was really quiet. The hunter and Big cat were actually even more quiet. SO makes me feel little better about shooting out of the window and not disturbing the neighbors. I also stood on the back deck which is parallel to the window and was the same result. Very quiet till impact.

I also found 2 new targets. 1 is an old small ammo can. Works great for a pellet trap and they are cheap. The 2nd is an old flak jacket. It stops the 350 point blank and no loud ting form hitting metal or thump from the wood. I think Ill be using that for my back stop when shooting at night. Nobody will know anything. Just might hear a little whistly zip.
