Got me a blackbird today...

So we have had an infestation fo these blasted blackbirds and there red winged friends. Well after taking about 5 shots at them I realized my scope was shooting 1inch high. Fixed that and one landed about 30 yards away... All you could hear was the hammer fall and a loud POP of the pellet slamming into its neck. And to the ground she fell...
Im shooting crosman hunting pellets at about 800 fps on a warm day.

I wish I could go to my neighbors and set up a bech rest.. I just looked over and there is like 60 of them.. oh well ill wait for one to land over here.

You know its really kind of cool.. I went back outside to sit on the picnic table and I saw a hawk flying around. When I get a blackbird or red winger I usually leave them. And there gone in the morning, Now I know why.
I love helping nature :)


And bill im defenatly getting some cracked corn and sunflower seeds this friday. Ill get every one here :)

Edit : it is a very nice shooter bill. I got this one from Mike M. Had him tune it for power and it shure delivers. 800fps on a normal warm day and will shoot 1/4 inch or less at 40 yards. Anyhting closer and its one hole.

Well I got a couple more today. There females. There just as distructive as the males.

But the real kicker was the shot i attempted, it was about 40 yards or so. not a hard shot at all. BUt what happened was the time it took my 7.9 grain crosman php to eclipse that distance it had moved a small bit. Allowing it to pass right by and slam into a branch it was sitting on.    grr ballistics
