You can run but you can't hide
« on: May 15, 2007, 01:25:32 PM »
Shot home from work today to get some lunch and was in the kitchen slapping some ham on my bread and admiring a yellow finch out the window. Next thing I know here he come's scrambling down a tree and to the feeder. Dropped my ham and went for hmmm let's see, who want's to play. Grabbed the B26-2 and chambered a Pro Magnum, gotta try out my new pellet's. I slipped out my out my side door and around the back of the house but he was onto me and had already made it to the corner of the yard and up a tree. Hiding up about ten feet and twenty yard's out he sat with just his little mug peeking around the edge of the tree. Good enough for me , layed the crosshair's on the front of his mug and let loose. I couldn't mistake the sound of a solid hit and watched him drop right onto his back. Pic completes the story, cleaned and into the icebox. Ed

Nice shootin Ed. I had a tree rat run right up one of the trees in the back yard this afternoon and I sat on my back steps waitin for him but he won the waitin battle. I had some cleanin to do in the back yard but I also had some shootin to do because my pellet order finally showed up this afternoon. I will be watchin for this little bugger though hehe maybe he will get smoked at the North Texas shootout and BBQ on saturday hehe.

LOL Gene, I'm sure that was the last thing on his mind hehe. Jeff, the Pro Mag's group real nice for me. The B26-2 likes them as does the Shadow Sport and the B3's Which seem to love everything except the CPHP's. None of my babies like em any more. Ed
