Gamo Hunter Extreme

Anybody noticed the Hunter Extreme on the Gamo web site?  Says it's rated at 1600 fps.  I haven't noticed it for sale anywhere yet.  Just wonder how accurate it would be.

I've shot a few Raptors in my CFX.  You can hear the "crack" of them apparently going supersonic.  I've been hesitant to shoot any more of them.  Do you think they will cause damage to a gun?  I know the GAMO web site says you can dry fire their guns.  What do you guys think about the Raptors?

It should not bother it if you don't get crazy shooting them, they can damage the spring in the rifle.

They are not very accurate any way, at least in any rifle I have shot them in, at least beyond 10 or 15  yards. After that you never know where they will hit.

I would think that the Raptors would not have a place for air gunners shooting targets over 10 yards or hunting at lets say 25 to 50 yards. Where would be the PUNCH when it hit a squirrel at 40 yards? Also I would personaly not think you could get good tight groups with such a lite pellet.

I personaly think Gamo came out with these pellets for the sole purpose of marketing there new line of rifles..
