Hot Weather Shooting...
« on: July 17, 2006, 07:50:05 AM »
Hello all...
I just came inside from doing a little target practice. I have my table set - up in the shade but it was still so hot I couldn't keep the sweat out of my eyes, even with a good breeze blowing. I was trying some different pellets and I did enjoy the shooting. I will be glad to see some cooler evenings. I still haven't tried  " lubed " pellets in a springer. It is surprising what a little cross breeze will do to your groups at 30 - 40 yds. Best of luck.

well the weather man says over 100 again here tomorrow and no air.  heat index gonna be close to 110.
dont know about springers , but 02 has its limits in the heat as well, not  only direct sunlight but just plain hot  temps. might lower the output of the 02. Now springers, I dont think it will hurt them, unless its really hot.  they generate enough heat as it is , and any more could be bad for the seals, lubes. not sure , but I remember reading about that once before. could be wrong tho.
