Before My Airguns.
« on: August 01, 2007, 08:06:35 PM »
Was going through some old photos a few weeks back when we were unpacking and came across a couple of my old hunting photos way before digital was invented of course but I thought some might like a squiz at them it's how I use to hunt many moons ago in fact I went back to the bow a few years after the powder burners became to easy to hunt with and there was no challenge in it for me any more and got very boring thats when I picked up my bows and started over. And at this stage in life it's Air guns the most challenging form of hunting I have done and I'm happy to say that this is the one I will never stop doing and who would have thought you could meet so many interesting people and make so many friends in the sport.:)

Na it was to much of a pain to take a photo and stick a pig at the same time never knew weather the dogs would lose their hold on the pig then it could have had me.
My oldest brother got me into pig hunting with only a knife and dogs and the reason was back in the day he wasn't allowed firearms but thats not a story for here hehe.
As for bare handed M8 the only animal I have killed with my bare hands are possums one dog some sheep and a few goats.

Hey Sean,

I followed the same path.  Started out hunting with powder burners,,, moved on to archery for the added challenge and am now enjoying that same added challenge with the air gun hunting.

Hey Sean, ever hunted with rocks?? I scored a direct hit on a high desert jack the other day right on the head. If I had known that I could hit anyting smaller than a barn door at 15 yards with a rock, I would have thrown it harder. You posts are always a hoot and often a bit graphic. My hits seem to have no visible entry or exit but they go down. Wife and I seem to talk about a trip to NZ alot. I think we are not far away from coming on down next time air fare is on sale. Keep shooting!
