to shoot!
I've been stalking the same rabbit since last Thursday. He's been a tricky little fella too. He'd started out at about 63 yards living in a woodpile in Bruceland. Then he migrated to a whipweed, deep brush patch in the "safe zone".
Today, after 4 different attempts at him I caught him in MY yard at 30yds. Bad choice of locating greens for him. Brought out the B30, sat down on the deck and pulled up a little plastic table to put the gun on. Dropped the bipod legs and found him in the scope. Started breathing and waiting for the right shot. It came and I let a .22 Crosman Dome fly. Hellova "Thump!" and he blew head over heels. Did some serious backwards flip/jumping and stopped. I found out why when I went over to check him. I got him in the eye and it came out behind the eye on the other side. A real mess.

Didn't even realize that he got hit so hard he didn't swallow or drop his last meal till I was getting ready to take pictures. That rabbit is captured on film "as is". Pellet went in the non-visible eye and was really messy as you can guess by the picture. The small blood spot on the side of his head just under the ear that you can see is where the pellet exited.
