Fast Deer KL-3B Problem? Shoots to far left!
« on: August 15, 2007, 01:38:17 PM »
I have a brand new Fast Deer KL-3B that shoots to far to the right since I can't adjust the rear sight any further to the left!

Has anyone else had this problem and if so what did you do to fix it?

It seems as though the barrel is straight and it shoots good groups at 30 yards; just to far to the right!

When I eye it up from the butt it seems as though the sight is to far left, but it still shoots to the right.

Any suggestions would be great since I don't feel like paying to ship it back!

Thanks,
Deputy Lynch

Hi Dave. It does sound as through the barrel is bent and not uncomon in the Fast Deer. You can put it in a vise and pull it to straighten it some. It won't take much probably. This might sound like I'm joking but years ago, we  used to place them on a bridge (between two blocks of wood or chairs) and then hit it in the center with a 4x4 or other heavy wood or some would put a piece of wood on the barrel and hit it with a small sledge hammer. It was a common practice and knowledge and is still a common practice today.
