Delta Cadet's first hunt (Graphic!)
« on: August 15, 2007, 02:42:31 PM »

I found these ferocious (well, noisy anyway) beasties had invaded my backyard tonight, but my 11-year old daughter's mighty Delta Cadet quickly dispatched them with ease. Used standard Gamo Match pellets. All shots were from 8 to 10 feet. A couple of them struggled a bit, but I humanely held them underwater in the swimming pool until they stopped wriggling.

Now for the best part:

Pluck off the wings and legs
Dip in a mixture of beaten eggs and milk
Roll in flour and corn meal mix (with salt, pepper, and liberal amounts of Tony Chacere's Cajun Seasoning)
Deep fry at 350 deg for 3 - 5 minutes, or until they begin to smoke
Eat up!!! Mmmmm....

Dagnabbit!!!  I just read Chucky's post immediately below this.  And I thought I was being original.  Oh well... maybe grasshoppers next time.
