Barrel crowning

Here are a few step by step photos of how I do my crowns. Cutting the barrel shorter is not required, it just happened that on this gun the customer wanted it shorter. Rubberized abrasive dremel bits are excellent for removing any small burrs that the lathe tool may leave. Pushing a pellet through to check for burrs is a must.

The thing with these rubberized abrasives is that they remove small burrs that can effect accuracy without damaging the lands at the muzzle. They are also great for polishing port holes and contact surfaces.
