Michigan pellet gun laws ?
« on: September 19, 2007, 12:06:51 AM »
anybody know if it would be legal for me to ship a .177 pellet pistol to someone in Michigan. I read the restrictions at Pyramyd air but they aren't very clear. Thanks kirby

OK, FYI, what I found out . I checked with Bass Pro Shop and they won't ship a pellet pistol there , so neither will I . kirby

As I understand it, a Michigan resident has to obtain a permit for each airgun they buy from their local police dept, then take the permit to a licensed gun dealer and arrange to have the gun shipped to the dealer and usually has to pay the dealer a fee. Sheesh, I'm glad I don't live in Michigan..............

Yea, me too. I believe if I had sent the air pistol to him, and it was found out , since it's a firearm law , I would probably have been in violation of a felony and could lose my firearm rights. I don't think it's worth a $50 pump up BB gun. kirby
