Bobber , I find myself in the same boat as you almost.  My only springer is a CDT tuned S1k, this gun shoots great. The shadow is accurate and has enough velocity for my needs. I don’t know why but, it seems that when I need pest control I go to my pumpers. My 1377s can be  most  effective “starling wackers” and a 2289 can make short work of tree rats. I guess I just feel more comfortable with the pumpers, because the S1k can do it all. Go figure.

Skip, I agree with the comfort factor you mention. A little while ago I had bought a new G-1 Extreme and put gold trigger in it and it was just punching out quarter sized  five and ten shot groups at twenty -five yards. I was thinking man this is friggin great , I just couldn't miss with the thing. Couldn't believe I had a gun that for about $150.00  could compete on a even keel with my R-10. So, I went for a quick squirrel hunt out back and didn't get a shot at anything.  On the way back I took a shot at the target I still had up, and the shot landed about four inches to the right, away from the group I had shot an hour before! A sguirrel would have been shot in the guts if I had aimed at the head and it was on a limb and  facing left and horizontal. I was like what the hell, and I shot a few groups and found out the zero wandered. I went through the process of elimination and it turned out that the scope was defective, and I took care of it and now all is good. But man was I getting frustrated for awhile there! So, I took out my plastic stocked, scoped,1377 and fired a few groups with the same Gamo Hunters I'd been using in the G-1, and just smiled at the dime sized five shot groups at 10 meters. Got my confidence back , and realized I wasn't too screwed up and the "me" factor wasn't the problem with my G-1 this time.
