Lucky at the flea market...

It was just warm enough to head to the flea market early this morning, and on my last pass through, a kid had set up at a table with several used Daisy multi-pump pneumatic air rifles, but also a couple of also well-used side-lever single-pump pneumatic airguns with wooden target stocks. He said something about an ROTC program, I think. It wasn't real obvious to me exactly what they were, but after plunking down $8 each and bringing them home, I think I've got a better idea. Stamped engraving on the adjustable sling swivel rail gives me an address where I can write to Daisy for a free instruction manual, and on the top of the receiver, it says "Gamo made in Spain", as well as the caliber (4.5/.177). Adjustable front sling swivel and trigger, ~10.3 lbs, comfortable wooden stocks, adjustable recoil pads (broken on one) and receiver dovetails are a few of the neat features.

From what I can tell in the Blue Book, what I bought are a couple of Daisy Model 126 target rifles. Now, to be fair, I also have to mention that neither of them will hold pressure reliably after the single cocking stroke, so there'll need to be some valve and seal work done on them before they'll fire, but if I can get that fixed, I should have a couple of good short range paper punchers. Here's a few pics.

Sometimes it pays to get up early on a Saturday.
