Premier Hollow Points vs. Domes
« on: August 01, 2006, 12:44:40 PM »
It seems that the Domes (7.9gr) and the Hollow Points are the same basic shape (except for the nose, of course) and the same weight. But the HP's are usually cheaper. So - what do y'all think? Do they shoot as well as the Domes?

I notice that the diameter of the HP's seem to have a looser tolerance than the Domes, as some will drop right in and others need a little push. But as far as real accuracy goes, I'm having a hard time seeing any real difference between them.

I am not into aerodynamics anymore but if my memory is correct, the domed pellet would be more aerodynamic than the hollow nose pellet.

Hey I am getting older and my reasoning and logic tends to fail me often... :) Guess we will have to find some info on that one Vince..
