I gotta get a chrono....

Just to see, what, if any difference I'm making. Shooting impression, sound, and feel....I can tell you, some simple work on the Crosmans does make a difference!

Built a spring compressor today, and just had to try it out, so the new Sierra came apart, after only 5 rounds... then spent a couple of hours doing the following, after dissassembly:
Cylinder deburred at all opennings.
Cylinder walls polished with DuPont polishing compound, 'lectric drill, wooden dowel, and "blue" paper towels.
Piston polished with black rouge on buffing wheel.
Spring guide polished w/black rouge on buffing wheel.
External surfaces of spring polished with black rouge...
Top hat, and piston lubed with Maccari moly
Spring and spring guide lubed with Maccari tar
Crowned the breech
Install CDT's GRT-III trigger.

This is one sweet Crosman now! Dad's Quest, though already  GRT-III eqauipped, gets torn down for a shadetree tune and lube tomorrow, as does my other Quest, soon as the last trigger I orderred arrives.  I loved the Crossmans stock, but MAN....put a trigger on 'em, and a little effort into them, and it is like an entirely different gun.

If you ain't so inclined, as to DIY, then have someone like Charlie hook you up.....with his experience, I can only imagine how his tunes must perform!
