Took the wife and daughter to the aquarium during the day to spend some quality family time, but made sure we got home in time for me to get in some pest control shooting during the last couple hours of daylight. Starling shooting wasn't that great, plenty of birds but for some reason most of them stayed at the opposite end of the farm from where I had set up my blind. I did get some birds to land within range and wound up nailing 6 of them. Finished out the hunt trying to stalk within range of some woodchucks as they fed. First chuck I snuck up on was a really huge adult, and while I did get to within 20 yards of him I decided not to shoot simply because he was so large that I didn't think the .177 pellets would do him in humanely. Snuck up on a 2nd chuck, 1/2 the size of the first one, but could just not get a clear head shot so passed on him. 3rd chuck I saw took me 20 minutes of stalking but got within 15 yards of him before he knew I was there and dropped him on the spot. He was a very young, small chuck, but just the right size for the S1K at that range.
