Summer....
« on: April 05, 2008, 08:59:58 AM »
Got the .22 QB78 out for some tests after another barrel shortening (down to 16" now)  and new brake.  Windy, and I wasn't real good about being patient enough to out-wait it every shot.  Was cutters (or in the case of the "Peaks", almost-wade cutters) really don't care for the wind.

Vel. not too bad for the temperature, but given summer's heat can expect today's 620fps (with Benjamins) to come close to 645-650fps.  Not many had much good to say about the 16gr. Loguns, but I kind of wish I'd stashed away a few more boxes of them.

Very nice looks like she can put them on the spot. It only got cold enough to shoot springers only for about a 2 weeks total. Already back into the 80's not looking forward to summer :0

A couple of Springers nothin to get excited about.

80F today...took it out to a friend's property for a few hours.  At least out to 47yards, it's working just fine.

Were junking some film processors at work (we've gone digital) and were some spare rollers about, heading for the trash....liberated a few, along with the plastic gears that can be lathed to fit inisde,  and they seem just about perfect for making brakes/shrouds.
