Pwerline1000 .177

This rifle never ceases to amaze me.It literaly gets better with every shot!700 rounds and 40 something tree rats, score of doves. On a early X-mas morning hunt in my wive's hometown of Splendora TX,I nailed the tree rat in pic#1 at around 40 yards.I had the early morning sun @ my back, when I jumped him @ the base of a oak tree.He turned to look back at me,caught him just under the chin,he never wiggled. The rat in Pic #2, I shot out of a oak tree that stands on my property. There is one limb on this 50 year old tree the rats just love.I have busted MANY from this very spot. From my Florida room window to the base of it is 35 yds......perfect.LOL I do alot of paper punching with my pellet backstop butted against this oak. It's almost unfair.... I shoot crosman supermatch premier wadcutters with stellar results(exclusivley)! The gun has a little trigger work, and a little loc-tite,and little else. This is one accurate, hard hitting, and the best part....inexpensive rifle. If you can get your hands on one, grab it fiddle with it and love it!

I bought one about a month ago and it has completely self destructed on me. The forestock cracked completely off on both sides from the screws forward. The powerline scope that came with it has been trashed by the recoil. I got it sighted in real good for about the first 500 shots, then it progressively got worse. It got to the point that I really didn't know where it was gonna hit at 20 yrds. I got new scope mounts and that didn't help. I then noticed that there was a big piece of glass in the eyepiece. I removed it, and sure enough a little piece of glass came out. Don't get me wrong...I think I just got a lemon. This is definitely a hard hitting gun that is awesome for the pricepoint. My only kill with it during the limited time I had with it was a sparrow at 30 yrds....YES 30 YRDS!! I think it was luck...:-)

Cheers

I have 2 of em,,, the Daisy powerline with the synthetic stock and the Winchester wooden stocked version, same gun though. Both of them are incredibly powerful, hardest hitting .177's in my collection, and deadly accurate. Have taken many a tree rat with those shooters. Wouldn't trade em for the world.....
