A few pests out of circulation
« on: May 07, 2008, 07:02:22 AM »

I rarely ever walk into my backyard without my CFX and this is why!
This first guy was 20 yards away in the bird feeder stealing seeds while I was talking to a friend. Quick and easy shot.

Caught these two raiding the bird feeder this morning at 8:30 after bringing girls to school. The squirrel was hanging upside down from the feeder and I caught him just right of center in the top of the head. I turned my attention to another squirrel in a tree that was 10 yards away and waited for several minutes trying to get a shot on him but he stayed in my no shoot zone. Went to retrieve the first fallen squirrel and it was still alive #$&(@^%($#& The shot didn't end him so I think I will limit myself toprofile shots to the head. Went back inside to retrieve the camera and when I walked back out there was a Grackle! Two pests down and a small hole in my bird feeder.. oops

Excellent shooting Brent and excellent pics. That'll teach em to steal seed :)

Great shootin Brent and no damage control I see lol, love da pic's and nice gal's there too. Between treatment and limited work I've been lurking around the ranch but I gess the nutter's heard from the Grackles to stay clear from the feeder's cause they hang out in the outer area and eyeball the feeder's. There will be a brave one soon lol. Ed

Bill, I was amazed the grackle waited around with me walking out in the open..The squirrel I kinda sneeked up on only moving when he bent up to the feeder..hehheh

Ed...Get Jeff to show you that Talon of his,the way them things shoot your "outer limits" will be short range.

And just last night I started the first phase of Operation "Pretty up the killzone"..Lots more work to do still..
