I was waiting for nutters but they seem to have taken the day off. I was shooting targets at 20 yards when two pigeons landed about 13 yards behind my bull's eye. Seemed like I felt the CFX tugging on me. They were heading for the bird seed I had laid down to bait the squirrels in. So I grabbed the underlever and pulled it back slowly. I then grabbed one of the crosman premiere hollow points I had already pre sorted by hand earlier and loaded it in the breach. One of the pigeons was following the other so I figured the one getting followed was the female. I laid a bead on the female. Since this was my first shot at this range, I put the female between the center cross hair and the 1st mil dot below center. Then I unleashed the CFX. Hit her at the top of the back on her wing joint (should laid the bead direct center, but I know next time). The female was doing cartwheels. The male flew three feet two the left, stayed for 5 seconds, then headed off for a new mate. So I walked up to the female and finished her off. Sorry I didn't take a nature shot, but the thunderstorms been off and on all day and before I could grab the camera it started drizzling and you know the CFX likes to stay dry. So this shot is taken under patio.
