Dave it takes a lot to make them as good as they are. I thought the same as you but the Discovery is a good rifle out of the box . If you hang around you will hear a lot of horror story's about them as well . Will I every own one may be then again may be not . As I stated in that thread a lot of the horror story's about the discovery is self inflicted injuries .I am now going to put on my fire suite later Marvin

Just want it to shoot.

Just want it to shoot really.......really good and don't care how many parts I make or how many times I take it apart.
