Interesting find in Sporter 500
« on: July 07, 2008, 09:26:25 AM »
I pulled apart my Sporter 500 today, to due a lube job and was very surprised at what I found. The spring is huge compaired to a CFX,or S1K, both of those are about 10.5in long set, this one is 12.5 set. I wasn't expecting that, 39coils. Anyone else had one apart?

Nope. Haven't even shot one, but maybe it needs the extra OOMPH because of a shorter stroke?

Don't know, but a fac CFX spring, will slide back and forth 'bout 1/8in, unless it's spaced up.
