Gamo CFX .177 with Gas Ram Upgrade, Leapers 3-12x44, GRT-III Trigger

Hello,

I have a Gamo CFX .177 that has the gas ram upgrade installed by Pyramyd Air.  The gun also includes a Leapers Accushot 3-12x44AO SWAT Scope, Illuminated Mil-Dot Reticle, 1/8 MOA, 30mm Tube and 1 piece Accushot high profile mount.  Scope comes with large parallax wheel.  GRT-III trigger really completes this gun and makes it nice to shoot.  The gas ram upgrade eliminates the 'twang' from the original spring and quiets the gun down a bit.

Gun is in perfect condition and shoots very well.  Gun has just been received back from Gamo, they repaired a broken scope stop pin (from before the gas ram upgrade...) and checked accuracy.  Test targets from 20 yards are included and the gun shoots tight. (Last picture in the list is the test targets from Gamo.  They are 5 shot groups with Gamo Match pellets-Please note the shots were not intended for the bullseye but rather to check how the gun groups.  Lee shot these from a bench.)  When I spoke with Lee (great guy at Gamo) he said the gun is shooting 940's but I don't have a printout.

what kind of groups are you getting?...and with which pellet?... how is the air venturi gas ram?...i've heard some good things and some bad...pretty much a 50/50 split over this one and the other gas ram available for it.

I have not shot the gun much since getting it back from Gamo, been busy with my IZH-61.  My groups were single holes at 10 yards and about .5 inches at 20 yards. Gamo Match Pellets. The test targets in the last picture show 5 shot groups and when I called Lee at Gamo about it he said the gun shot very well.    The whole gun was tuned up by Lee and he got it to shoot pretty flat in the 940's.  I think people may have been a little disapointed with the gas ram because it shoots a little slower then the spring.  Mine was tuned up to shoot much better.  Overall the gas ram really makes the gun have a crisp shot, much better (IMHO) then the spring.
