Thanks John,

I am shooting at night, most rats appear late at night usually after 12.  I only have a cheap scope and am looking forward to upgrading to a better one.  I have ordered an acushot single mount from the good old USA but a $16 scope mount ends up costing me over $80 by the time I pay postage.  I do not have a good selection of airgun stuff where I live, I could not find a single place in Australia which stocks crosman premier lights or JSB exacts and to get a box of each sent to my home from USA will cost me about $90.  I am stuck with what is available here and I use Beeman FTS (which are quite good) and for my close range rat hunting I use Meisterkugelen match .177.  I can get some crow magnum too. I have now shot six rats in about two weeks. four females and one male and one that was not able to be identified as my Jack Russell found it first..
