My agenda? Reinstate the Constitution!

Restore liberty and freedom! No more criminal 'population control' or 'thought police' infringements bycorraling the sheeple into internment facilities.

Government is supposed to serve the citizens, not 'control ' them!

People need not becontrolled. They understand how to treat others in such a way, that they do all possible to not infringe on others rights.
The problem with public learning is that'honesty' factors have been removed from the governments publictraining centers. Responsibility as well asacceptance of consequence has become a foriegn concept to the 'entitled' sheeple, although -they'reeasily interredor controlled, just as those power brokerswith the fleecing shears desire . . .

TCups; You keep crawling on my back so try to understand ONE thing. Some time back I swore to uphold the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Yes, most of the idiots you mention have violated that Constitution, and since the American People are not calling for the Impeachment of Mr. Bush, I can only hope that the International Courts try him.  Mr. Bush only got a Congressional Resolution  to carry out his Invasion with lying to do so. The Constitution of the US says nothing about a resolution.  I would suggest the American people read the Constitution of the United States or have  it interpreted to them so they can understand how it has been abused. All laws not meeting Constitutional authority are supposed to be null and void. Should you want to keep jumping me, please do so from a Constitutional basis, do not use the Democrat/Republican crap.  Respectfully, jeep98

Jerrycup. You close by saying; I'll be one of many doing what I can to win this election, and to keep control out of the hands of the demagogs.----My 1828 Websters definition of : Dem'agogue, 1. A leader of the people; an orator who pleases the populace and influences them to adhere to him.  2.Any leader of the populace; any factious man who has great influence with the great body of people in a city or community.  Just thought you might like to know.  Jeep98

Hey,

I'm sure Jerry meant it in the sense of common modern usage. American Heritage Dictionary: A leader who obtains power by means of impassioned appeals to the emotions and prejudices of the populace.

But you knew that, didn't you?  :)

Oh, and by the way, "factious: Of, relating to, produced by, or characterized by internal dissension. Given to or promoting internal dissension. See Synonym insubordinate."

Insubordinate? In this case I think "subversive" might fit the bill a little better.

Thanks, an 1828 definition is interesting. Current meaning is "a political leader who seeks support by appealing to popular passions and prejudices".

Think Huey Long, or Bob LaFollette. A chicken in every pot. Free medical care for all. Tax the rich, care for the poor. Redistribution of wealth. The basis of most Democrat campaigns in the past century or so.

I’m always amazed at how some can share political opinions with so much passion and well-expressed rhetoric on this forum; yet, at the end of the day discuss a common interest (airguns) with civility. I enjoy reading these posts but rarely partake in them.

Jason, like you, I would take up arms and defend this country to my last breath. Unfortunately, at 65 I am way past the cutoff age to enlist. However, put me in a hide with a good sniper rifle and I’m sure that I could create some havoc on the bad guys.

There is no greater country on earth!

God Bless America

Hi Jerrycup.

-sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not a democrat...or a republican. I'm an independent voter. I'm an American. I'm an ex paratrooper(yes, for this country).
I've stated in other threads that the candidate that I would have liked to vote for will not be in this upcoming election.
I don't believe that my "vapid" comments represent my understanding of this war, or any other. I don't believe that you are able to do so, either.
Your third paragraph is entirely false in reference to my beliefs and desires.
I'm glad that you had a good experience with the VA. Every vet should be so fortunate.
If you truly believe that Bush is not a criminal, and has done nothing illegal-even in the face of so much evidence; then there is nothing I can say. Time will tell.
Thanks for sharing your condescending comments, and for your continued support of the current fascist regime.

It would require total descent to get to your level of discussion, and I won't. Your hot words are false and meaningless.

Sorry, Raymond.

It wasn't your back side or any part of you, personally, I meant to climb on, Raymond.  We just apparently have a very different idea of what constitutes criminal activity.  But whatever else, I am at least thankful that on this 7th anniversary of 9/11 that there hasn't been a repeat of a major terrorist event in the USA.  In the days after the last attack, I believe most Americans would have doubted this outcome possible.  And like you, I find neither of the candidates would have been my first choice.  Irrespective of that, thank you sir, and for every American service man and woman for your service to a country I am sure we both love.

Your welcome Gene. I thought it said a lot and felt it needed to be shared. I wasn't expecting 100 % acceptance and see it's running wild now hehehe. We all have different opinions but I believe in what this vet is saying.

The Veteran's name is Joe Cook.  As he walks away, I hope that everyone saw that he is missing one leg, below the knee.  He has not only served his country, he has sacrificed greatly.  God bless him and every American service man and woman for their service and sacrifice, irrespective of their political opinions.

Hi again.
There is no need to descend, Jerrycup--just continue to talk down to me. It's worked out so far.
Which words did you deem "hot"?  I must assume that it was the "fascist regime" part. Unfortunately, that's not just a phrase that I use in; or to anger. Grab that little word of the day calendar that you pulled "vapid" from, and see if the word "fascist" is listed.
Meaningless? Yes. False? No.

Ya Tom I noticed but it did not have to be a leg that he left behind. Those of us who believe in fighting for freedom sacrafice ourselves. Some of us return to help others recover and some of us are left in memory. So everyone in the US can enjoy there freedom.
