How many parts come off the trigger (and stay off) on a whisper when installing a GTR III
I have 5 left over 1 spring, 1 trigger blade, 1 screw, 1 spacer 1/4 x 1/4  with a 1/8 inch hole, 1 small dowel 1/4 inch long 1/8 wide

thats right!!! The 4 normal leftover parts, plus the spacer( 1/4 x 1/4 with the hole) can be left in or out so you are ok Darren.  Dont sweat it.  You did good.  Its that easy.
