Chris:

Good shooting, but little surprise that the R7 is deadly accurate.  I have the first cousin of your R7 Double Gold -- the HW30S (The select model comes with the Rekord trigger).  I think either rifle is the perfect urban/suburban backyard "BB gun".  Powerful enough to dispatch squirrels easily.  Very quiet.  Almost effortless to cock.  An absolute pleasure to shoot.  Glad that I bought this little rifle latter in my air gunning experience, else I might never have had the lust for bigger, "better" air rifles.  Hard to improve on the R7DG in close quarters.

PS:  Best wishes for a speedy recovery!  How much is that doggie in the window?

Tommy, I agree the R7/HW30 is deadly accurate and very fun and easy to shoot. I sold my other R7 and decided to get the double gold, because I liked it so much. The double gold is more of a carbine version with a 3.20 inch shorter overall length. I was really missing my old R7 and was patiently waiting for my new one to arrive. I don't think I will do that again :) The only way I will ever sell this one, is if I have another to replace it before it  leaves.
It's definitely my go to gun to dispatch nuisance squirrels and birds in my back yard/garden.
Chris
