It does have a screw that will restrict air flowing through the transfer port . It will allow 10-20fps increase in power on most 12fpe rifle and you can reduce the power output of the rifle with said screw, but it will not increase the shot count . I've tried . With that said the screw is located on the right side of the receiver, just low and forward of the breach. You have to remove the outside cover screw and then insert a tiny Allen wrench through the opening and turn the small grub screw inside clockwise to reduce power , counterclockwise to increase power. The screw will most likely have some blue locktite on it , mine did . Like I said I've tried to increase power or shot count by adjusting this screw , but it didn't do a lot either way. The only way to really increase or decrease power is with a change in hammer spring and /or hammer weight. From what i've read , Pomoma airguns does a power adjustment moderfication for IIRC $60 that would give you an external power wheel to adjust the power. Of course you'll have to pay shipping there and back, so you're looking at around $100. kirby

I really don't care about the amount of shots..  Just wanted more ft.lbs. of energy...  I hear some of the guns have a high and a low setting..  I really don't know what Gene had this one set at but was hoping it was on high..

I believe it is tho now...  I shot at a full and capped ozarka [ not a promotion of product, it was just laying around.] water bottle.. It went thru both sides and the water didn't slow it down much.. so i figure it will do all the damage to the critters i need it to...  wabbits, squirrels, birds and such are in for a real treat....  i just plugged a ???? thru the head at 20 yds....  I'm happy.. anyone got a filler er up they could lend me.. I'm almost in the yellow and have no tank yet...

I've got a hand pump I could trade ya for somethin?

It needs some work though. It pumps (used it for my Talon), but the threads for the pressure gauge are stripped out. I planned on drilling it and either heli-coiling it or retapping it for a bushing.

Comes with a new 5K PSI gauge. No Adaptors, foster fittings or hoses. I had the AF fill adaptor & used that.

This is the same pump, from the same place in fact: http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/accessory.pl?accessory_id=81

PM me if you're interested.
