Mac1 1322 gets its first squirrel
« on: November 07, 2008, 09:09:43 AM »
After a short wait I received my Mac1 power and accuracy prepped 1322.  I did a short review for dave2288 that is in the product review section under airgun reviews.  I got her dressed up for her debut with an inexpensive copperhead red dot sight.  The local squirrel population has been going crazy here in IL with the indian summer we've experienced over the past week.  I got back from a family vacation to find my trash completely ransacked.  So today, after sighting in last night, I placed my little sentry on the lookout for "bad skirls".  It doesn't take long before the alarm is called.  I grab the 1322 effortlessly pump it 12 times and head outside.  I get to about 18 ft. of the invader, before he decides to peek up at me.   He then jumps on the fence and heads towards me in an attempt to get on top of the garage.  He is now only 15 ft away, and still checking me out, and instead of jumping up to the garage roof  he starts barking at me.  I quickly make him pay for this mistake.  I bring the gun up in a 2 handed hold, quickly place the red dot on his chest (i've really started to like the sudden death of a bread basket shot) and squeeze off a cphp and muzzle the noise maker.  The shot hits him and he flips once and lands dead, no muss no fuss.  I really like my new addition, the short time I've been able to use her I've been very impressed with the accuracy of this inexpensive little hunter.  Read my review for specifics.
BTW I've also added a picture of the Crooked Barn Tomcat all dressed up.   Hope you enjoy.

Thanks folks.  I am really impressed with the accuracy of both pistols and highly recomend Crooked Barn, Mac1, and RB grips.  Still on the look out for my Moby Dick of rats.....
