hmmm....i still say its up to the skill of the shooter(not debating legality...but the oompf of the g1)...the turkeys i shot went down easy(and no i wasn't hunting them for food...they were eating up my cat...just get their attention for a sec, and they stand up not moving, then take em out!....so, it was legal to do for me)  also, idk how it is for your guys, but near me, we are being OVERRUN by turkeys.  there are 5 different flocks(?) that end up passing my property eithin a week...one is REALLY big, must have 30 in it.  startin to see turkeys on the side of the road instead of deer...

yea It's not legal to take ducks with a pellet gun.  Especially because of the Lead pellets.  But it's also illegal to speed.  and everyone does it???

well, to be honest, i don't follow the speed limits a lot of the time, but i only go after stuff that is either legal, or destroying my stuff/hurting my pets, which then makes it legal.

LOTS of "Grey Area" there my Friend:? Honestly,, all jokes aside Buddy,,, there is a HUGE "Gray Area" about airguns now. Some things like,,, "Single progectiles" to Turkeys will almost certainly get Ya in trouble in most states that dont allow that,,, however,,, when it comes to Deer & such,,, (Larger Game),, Kinda hard to lose in court if Ya have a huntin license & shoot em with a "Big Bore" with over 200 Ft. Lbs.. (I been lookin into it) Im NOT condoning such actions,,, Im just sayin,,,,"Keep it real". Heck,,, many states now permit small game airgun hunting!! "Old Tim"

tim, in my area, anything that is either a danger to your property, or your animals/family, and will not leave is allowed to be a target.  my state isn't too strict about this kind of situation, but communities are around here.  the community next to me, you can't do anything, even if something is attacking you...if a bear comes after you, and you pull out a s&w 500 magnum, you'll go to jail.  i'm sure glad i live a few hundred feet over from them, lol.  i'm VERY protective of my kitties.

Young Dave,, (LOL) Yer a trip Buddy,,,Your a refreshing member here Bro!! Yeah,,, I am protective of my kittys as well,,, I dont take kindly to threats to them. The "Law" is subjective at best. Just that some of the "Gray Areas" dont need to be exploited "too much":? Its up to us to be responsible hunters/protectors.  Im not tryin to be a bad influence on Ya,,, the laws are pretty clear,,,, we dont need to push our luck:? Honestly,,, I do keep a current hunting license & adhere to the laws. "Threats" to your property,, ("Percived"),, are a differant issue:? "Old Tim".

hmmm...all good points tim.  i would get arrested for my cats, but if there's no issue, i don't go after anything outside.  i've watched plenty of times as the turkeys(and MANY other animals) just walk through my yard, and don't do anything to em...but even if there was a bear attacking my cats, i'll take the g1(well...maybe the patriot) and the machete and have at it!

lol, when it comes to bears, i've gone after em for less than that, actually...a few years ago, i was digging holes for my deck, and a bear came out into my yard, and started pushing the pipes in my turkey mound...if those broke, i would have to fix it..so, lmao i chased it...not really sure what i wouldda done if it turned towards me, but lucky for me, it ran.
