Paul, Bob, myself and all the GTA moderators have worked very hard to keep the GTA a good decent place for new and seasoned air gunners to come learn and discuss air guns. We try our best to keep the trolls and such out of our forums. Every once in a while we have one pop in and cause trouble. And when people post back to the troublemakers with obscure comments it feeds the fire. I see you have your own Forum ie Airgunone, and you may have the same issues that we run into as well some day in the future. So please do not throw rocks at the glass window. Gene

Gene, I'm a mod here, maybe not for long, but what's the problem with this. I think you need to take a step back and remember why were here.

Mike, you of all people should know the GTA Policies. "Personal attacks on individual air gunners dealers and tuners are strictly forbidden. If you have issues with them, then they should be addressed one on one and not create a “war zone” on your forums. Take your issues up directly with them and do not launder them here on the GTA forums." When the guywrite's "Joe Cuz gives people different prices. Never gives the price. He is a DISHONEST DEALER!".. That falls under the policy above. He also stated in another post that we were all puppets of Joe Cuz. I clearly stated that when members reply with "obscure comments it feeds the fire".. I would suggest that if you have any further comments or question please email me or PM me. Gene

Yes Gene, I understand the rules, but here lately they seem to be a bit one sided. Sorry but that's the way I see it. Joe's a great guy and this is not about him, just things aint the same as they used to be.

No Fellows,

The GTA can not be the same, now we have anonymous trolls attacking our established members, making comments that can not be proven. But we CAN attempt to keep these "new members" from corrupting our GREAT Forums.

Our Rules here are simple, and so easy to follow, just keep your head, and treat everyone as you wish to be treated.

Otherwise the GTA will loose all of its quaint homelike qualities, and end up like the rest of the forums :(

So please don't feed the TROLLS !

Thanks Bob and Gene, for working so hard, to keep the GTA the GREAT place it still is !

You are right Bill. Things do seem to change some times and usually for the better. But for someone to say that things are not like they used to be are also right. But by the same token, it takes a lot to try to maintain a good form such as the GTA. If you don't do something to prevent problems when their ugly heads rear up, then the problems will just continue to grow and without the right support people behind you, those people that are supposed to support and enforce those simple rules, regulations or policies then it starts to get out of hand.

Fortunately most of our supporting staff, meaning our moderators fulfill their "obligations" (for lack of other terminology) and when there is a clearly visable problem, they step in and take action. They are to be commended and they are the ones that make the GTA what it is. However, it has been suggested by several members that have e-mailed both Gene and I that perhaps a change might be considered. I feel that perhaps they are right and probably will in the very near future. We need our moderators to be of character that supports the membership and protects them and the GTA from both outside interferences as well as internal conflicting issues that are detrimental to growth and harmony of the GTA and keep it healthy.

Seems everyone missed the point. I was not questioning the locking of a thread, it was the right thing to do, it violated polices and needed to go. I was questioning the fact that Paul asked a legitimate question and got bashed for it. I thought everyone was here to help each other out and not get bashed for asking a question.
