It's the sporter stock rifle, I do have a thumbhole stock in the shop, has a wee crack but is useable and can be repaired to the point the crack won't be noticeable....thanks, Mike

I have a B26 in .22 and it does around 660 with 14.3 grain crosman premiers.  I do have a Jm kit in it with the factory seal, but if I'm remembering correctly it shot about the same with the factory spring.  In my opinion, this is a great power level for squirrels.  This gun has a great balance of power and smoothness and accuracy.  For the price it can't be beat.  I have several other springers in the $400+ range that don't shoot any better or smoother.

You will not find another Chinese air rifle that could match that price and performance for a mid powered hunting rifle. I have owned both the B-26 sporter and still own my B-20 predecessor of the B-26. I find these air rifles are well worth the money and at that price, one that is tuned by Mike is a deal for sure.

Gene, not just another Chinese rifle, but you won't find any rifle that will match the B26 in that price range :)

My B26 from Mike (lube/tuned with OE parts) was measured about 650fps with 15.3 grain Gamo Hunters pellets. That's about 14.5 foot/lbs of energy which is about average for a non-magnum springer. On the same level as most of the 1000fps (advertised) .177 caliber rifles. Any more power and you suffer from accuracy affecting recoil.

Oh yes Scott, I did find one.It is the B-20. 177which is the predesessor of the B-26. Exactly the same power plant and as nice a trigger as you can find. They are no longer made since the introduction of the B-26 which is a excellent replacement of the B-20. Bought mine a few months ago and did a custom tune on it. It will shoot ragged holes all day long. The Chinese company that makes these are in my opinion going to eventually be putting out some even better stuff.

I have found them to be reliable and accurate, they shoot at 650 fps which is what they were sesigned to shoot at. Granted most folks want more power but if you can't hit your target then it's wasted ....buy one and if you're not happy I will gladly refund your money.....

Ok my .02 cents. I have 2 qb's from Mike and had 2 b26's. I sold my .177 to buy some bow equipment. My .22 is topped with a Simmons Pro air 4-12x40 shoots great. I will not get rid of it. More power creates more problems with hold sensitivity and recoil not to mention the extra weight. This gun is less than 100 fps slower than my R-9 .20. Pound for pound best gun for the dollar.

Yeah Gene, I've heard good things about the B20 also, but never actually saw one in person.  Forgot about that one!  What kind of velocities are you getting in the .177?  At the moment I don't have a higher powered .177 breakbarrel gun.   Do they run about the same as an R9 velocity wise?
     thanks, Scott

B-26 is certainly a best buy within the price range! Gamo's and other chinese rifles don't even come close. Right out the box the trigger is superior to any other $150 springer. Mine does 680fps consistantly after a self tune with Maccari seal and lubes. I have sold all my other springers and replaced them with PCP's/HPA guns. I just can't sell the B-26, I like it too much, even though I don't shoot it often.

Did you make that or is it commercially available?  I'm looking for one for a MM .22 B26 I purchased a few months ago.
