I get pretty dangerous on my moutain bike sometimes. My next adventure is riding down Priest Grade Road here in the mountains. Flatlanders white-knuckle on this thing.

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y93/SirFratley/RainyGrade2.jpg?t=1231277724

You can kind of see the road on the far side of the pic. 8 miles of twisty hill, and the one we're on is Old Priest Grade, which is 2 miles of steepness, about an 11% average grade.

I'm going to get it on video.

Man, I'd LOVE to do that! I used to skydive and did some HAHO jumps and a few HALO practice jumps in the service, but I don't think they'd even compare to these guys!

I remember when these flying squirrel suits were being developed. The military was also contemplating the use of them if I remember right. Now they're looking at an actual set of pack mounted WINGS with mini turbines.

Man is getting closer to flying without planes...Amazing!!!

The military did use them but you will never hear about it..:) There were a few guys that lost there lives testing them. We used to jump from 500 feet from helicopters back when.

YEP. I live in Groveland. ^^ I'm not going to ride my bike down Old Priest unless I have some sort of secondary brake system, but the new grade is gradual enough that the drag will keep me at no more than 35 MPH. I've topped out at 37 with that bike.
