(Not On Much)Better Now, New RWS M48 is in.
« on: January 06, 2009, 10:13:39 AM »

Guys, (and Gals)

Work is getting very stressful right now. I have been working a lot
and also having a few problems at work. If you notice I'm not on much
it is because of this. I hope to get all this blessed stuff sorted out soon
and I can be back on as my old chipper self.

At the moment, I'm very tired and bummed. What I really need is some rest
and to get out a couple days and shoot. It has always done me wounders.
Shooting has always relaxed me. Now if I could just get a break in the weather.

Anyway, I'll be on and off but not very active.
Just thought I would let you know.

Thanks,
ShadowShot

Get some rest buddy and don't let work ever bring you down. :) Most of us here unwind by paper punching or getting out into Ma Nature for a hunt or just to soak up her Zen.  :) Ed

I'm retired now  (thank GOD) but when I was working I experienced the same thing you're going through.  There were times at work that I'd really get upset and sometimes depressed, but I always just kept telling myself that' there would be better days ahead,,,, and there always were.  Like Ed said,, hang in there, try to dwell on positive things and get out there with those air guns and shoot some  paper,,,, it'll take your mind off things.....

Shooting is therapeutic,....at least my shrink told me so.....LOL's !!!! Just get out when you can and pop a few off for some relaxation. I know how you feel when things get hectic at work. But just remember,...tough times don't last,...but tough people do. You'll make it Bro'. Best Wishes, tjk

Feeling Better, Got New RWS M48
« Reply #4 on: January 08, 2009, 11:42:19 AM »

Hey guys,

thanks for the kind words of encouragment.
I am feeling much better today, I am finaly off call tonight and back to a normal life.

Well to make it even better, I received my refurb demo rifle from Umarex today.
It's my RWS Diana M48 in .22 cal. All I have is some trashy Daisy Precision Max flat nosed pellets to shoot until I get a pellet sampler.

Does anyone else shoot this rifle and what does yours like?

I realy got a good price on this, well at least compared to new out of box, The rifle looks almost mint. It has the new RWS lockdown scope mount so it dont slip and the RWS 3-9X44 night pro scope.

Rifel, scope mount and shipping..........$267.00

Hope you like her.

Your right cuz, I had some customers lie on me back to back over the weekend.
I am amazed that I still have a butt after the meeting with the boss yesterday.
One was a nice account that called in.

Anyway, I feel a vacation day coming on.
May be I will call in tomorrow and use one.
I'll have transmission problems, cant get my butt in gear.
OR
My favorite sickness is anal blindness, Just can see my butt coming in today......

Come on, give me some nice weather and and some good .22 pellets.....

I have the same rifle in a .22 but with a different scope. Mine will shoot one hole group off the bench at 30 yds. It likes the Crosman Premiers that come in the cardboard box. I think the box has somewhere around 625 pellets in it. I also have a .177 in a model 48 and it will shoot just as good. Enjoy your new rifle !!!
I live to shoot and shoot to live !!

My 48 is a .20 caliber and I can't say enough good things about this rifle.   It is an awesome small game rifle with tons of power and accuracy to match.   You've got yourself a fine shooter and hunter there.... Enjoy........
