newbie to gta
« on: January 10, 2009, 03:06:04 AM »
Hello,
This appears to be a really cool forum. I have never been on one.Got lucky looking for help on my gamo 220 hunter. Could not stand the spring sound-twang or whatever it is, made when fired (obviously, my first springer). Anyhow, I found the TunaMan, and everything got real interesting for me. I'm 41 years old and live in Memphis, have hunted and fished off and on my whole life. Shot squirrels and every bird imaginable as a kid with a crossman 22. Two years ago bought a gamo from Bass Pro on a whim. Fun to shoot, but, I've had accuracy problem's which led to some disinterest. Long story short, I got interested again, Hence, here I am. I have been helped ton's already, and, am now in the process of getting a gtx trigger and turbo-tune. I flat can hardly wait!! Thank you guy's for allowing me in.

welcome volzone im 42 and i shot abbgun as a kid .living in a city where its illegal to shoot made it impossible to ever be interested, anyway for like 4 years now i been shootin airguns and i love it .i have a whisper .177 gamo, a rws48.22 ,winchester 1000sband the rest r pistols .the trigger is great i have on my whisper.177 and turbo tuned, its accurate, hard hitting with the crow magnum at 35 yds the noise drops a bit after a few hundred pellets, the twang and spring also reduces a great deal .mostly every gamo out the box has the twang and the trigger has to change to a cdt cause the pull is to much ,something like 5lbs or more but with cdt trigger 1lb and 9ozs thats my reading adds a few fps also.i talk alot anyway nice to have u here .good luck with your choice...........

Your going to like that tuned 220. Welcome to the forum. search for info on springer hold sensitivity and once you get a grip on that subject, so to speak, your accuracy really improves. Good to have you here.
