Best oil for bearings in a stradic reel? The ones on the cranking gear. Thanks, John

Don't know if it's the best but I use Hoppe's gun oil and I like it.Nice reel.

I have an ancient tube of reel grease that I have used to refurbish one or two old 1950's baitcasters I used as a kid.  On a ball bearing reel, the gun oil should be good.  That is a high grade oil like sewing machine oil.

I have used PENN synthetic reel grease for years. Use only a small amount. You do need a decent grease though because that gear takes a heavy load with a good fish on.

Quantum hot sauce is what I use in all my reels, or any quality reel oil will work, you can find it in any good tackle shop or in bass pro shops.
