Leapers scope for my super streak
« on: February 08, 2009, 09:02:33 AM »
Hello everyone, this is my first question posted on this forum. will a Leapers 4x32AO (purchased as a combo for a  benjamin 392) reference link http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/model.pl?model_id=1431  work on my Benjamin super streak springer gun ?  the gun has been tuned and a delrin guide made for the spring which did smooth it out a lot. but this scope was purchased with a very mild mannered Benji 392. I dont see no scope model numbers on it to research. will this scope work on my super streak ? I found out the hard way that a scope on the 392 is clumsy and not needed, so I would like to use it on this gun. Thanks !

Those Leapers 32 mm AO scopes, the 4X and 3-9X are pretty tough scopes. They have the added advantage of being relatively low mass so they are prone to move less under hard recoil. In a good one piece mount with a good stop the Leapers should hold up on your Super Streak.

Not certain, but I believe Leaper's claims all their scopes are air gun rated.  And even if you do break it, you can send it back with $10 for a replacement, or spend $25 and get the BSA 4x32 AO from Natchez.  I'd do the latter, but then, I don't like Leapers scopes, too many problems.  Don't much care how good a warranty they have, if I have to send it in for warranty work just when I need the scope the most.  HTH.

Thanks for the Welcome, Thats why Im asking the question, Im not goin to keep it on the 392, in fact it is already off. Just wondering if it would work on the super streak or not, I dont have another home for it, so I was hoping it would work

It's nice to see so many from Michigan. Like daved said Leapers claims all of their scopes are air gun rated (just got one myself). Athough they are assembled in China the headquarters is right here in Livonia.

A big welcome to the GTA forum and family Sergi.  I would think your question would be answered if you posted in the "General Gate" where more members will see it.

I don`t own a Marauder....but since it`s a PCP air rifle....it will have no problems with non-airgun rated scopes.....meaning all scopes can go on it.  With such a high quality air rifle....I would suggest at least a 4X16-40mm AO or even higher powered scope.  Excellent brands would be Leopold, Bushnell (Banner and Trophy models) and Hawke.  Try to get one with AO...adjustable objective.
