Help From DaveD, Dano or David Kirby
« on: April 24, 2009, 03:19:14 PM »
My new AA S200TA has the tank with gauge on the front of tube. Have to remove tank to fill. My Yoke setup for my other PCP'swill not work. Here is the adapter they sent with the AA S200TA. What do I need to buy for the tank to screw this adapter into. No shooting until I can refill the tube...:(

I'm not positive, Gene, but the male end of that adapter looks like a DIN fitting.  If Jim at Precision can't help out, maybe Joe Brancato http://www.hamcontact.com/airgun/HoseAssembly/ or the guys at Airhog can.  Sorry I can't be more help.

Gene, That is a DIN fill adapter. It's a common type of fill adapter for target rifles that have removable reservoirs. You'll need an adapter that will screw on to that fill adapter that will give you a male Foster fitting. Try Bori at TAG.

Thanks  Sis. This adapter is bg and I do not see how it could be reduced enough to fit on my existing yoke.

Question answered to Gene via PM before I saw this post.  The answer is....drumroll......:

If you look at a common scuba tank where the oring sits and the air comes out there is a hex head in the center.  If you get the appropriate sized allen wrench, stick it in that hole (do NOT need to remove air from scuba tank first), rotate counter-clockwise, that center part will come out, it's just a big allen set screw....sort of.  After that bit is removed the DIN adapter can screw into the scuba tank.  Close the small valve on the side of the adapter, and SLOWLY open the scuba tank valve to fill your cylinder.  AA S200's run around 2700 psi for best fill, they have a 122cc cylinder, so they fill really fast....just crack that scub a valve, it will fill faster than you are ready for the first time..close valve at 2700-2800psi.  Open the small bleeder valve on the side of the adapter to bleed any air trapped between the tank and the gun cylinder, then unscrew the cylinder, reinstall on gun, and shoot!

Now go out and shoot us some groups!  Mine likes JSB Exacts, 4.50's, and 4.52's are a close second.  I tried Kodiaks and they were also good, and actually nothing was "bad", just some were a little better than others.  Glad it all worked out!!!
